Account activation and limits
What happens between choosing an address and a working inbox, and the limits that apply in early access.

Activation
- No address yet. The inbox asks you to choose your @ostrae.email address in Ostrae Account.
- Getting ready. Your address is reserved and the mailbox is being activated. This usually takes 1–5 minutes after you verify your recovery email; capacity or provider problems can take longer. The page checks again every 30 seconds.
- Active. Your folders and messages appear, and sending becomes available. Until then, New message stays disabled.
Limits today

The server is authoritative for sending availability and limits. If you reach a limit, the composer tells you and your draft stays where it is.
Not available yet
- Downloading attachments. Attachments are listed with their name and size.
- Saved drafts. A draft lives in the open composer until you send or close it.
- Contacts and creating new folders.
- A rich HTML view. HTML mail is shown as text and remote images are not loaded.
Delivery to other providers
Mail to addresses outside Ostrae is delivered through the configured relay. Whether it lands in the recipient's inbox also depends on how the receiving provider rates the sender.
